Power demand races ahead of renewables, CHP advance

Electricity generation from renewable sources increased by more than 4% in 1995 and combined heat and power (CHP) showed even stronger growth, according to the Government's annual digest of UK energy statistics.1 But the increased output from both sources over the past four years has failed to keep pace with rising electricity demand.
