UK implements international rules on transport of dangerous goods

A package of regulations which bring the UK into line with international rules on the carriage of dangerous goods by road and rail came into force on 1 September.1 The rules also clear the way for the UK to implement belatedly part of an EC Directive on emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from petrol storage and distribution.
