UK lags on NOx abatement for power plant, incinerators

Advanced technologies for abating emissions of nitrogen oxides from power stations, incinerators and other combustion plant are now used widely in Europe and North America. But they have made almost no headway in the UK - calling into question the Environment Agency's approach to determining the "best available techniques not entailing excessive cost" (BATNEEC).
