Castle Cement fined £5,000 for Cemfuel spill

Castle Cement has been fined £5,000 for a spill of Cemfuel, the controversial waste-based fuel, at its Ribblesdale works in Clitheroe, Lancashire. The spillage, which was largely contained in a bund, was caused by the firm's failure to test and maintain high-level alarms in its storage tanks.
