Small firms lack stimulus to save energy

A study sponsored by the Department of the Environment has underlined the difficulties of persuading most small firms to play their part in improving energy efficiency and combatting global warming.1 Two-thirds of the companies surveyed were doing little or nothing to save energy, and few were prepared to make significant investments in energy conservation. The vast majority were also unaware of official sources of advice and funding.
