Procter & Gamble steps up attack on eco-labelling
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has launched a new attack on eco-labelling schemes, and the EC scheme in particular. The move is seen by supporters of eco-labelling as the latest step in a concerted campaign against third party schemes by a coalition of US industry associations. Meanwhile, the European Cosmetics, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (COLIPA) has withdrawn from the criteria-setting process for a proposed EC eco-label for shampoos.
