Lanstar fined £24,000 for "duty of care" offences

Industrial waste treatment business Lanstar has been fined £24,000 for consigning treated waste to landfill despite being warned that it contained unacceptably high levels of chlorinated hydrocarbons. Meanwhile, magistrates have sentenced another skip operator to prison, and imposed a hefty "duty of care" fine on a toiletries manufacturer.
