PowerGen forks out for Orimulsion crop damage

PowerGen has paid a substantial sum - believed to be £3-4 million - to a Kent farmer and his landlord Prudential who had alleged that combustion of Orimulsion at the nearby Richborough power station had caused severe damage to crops. Meanwhile, National Power has dropped plans to convert its Pembroke station to burn Orimulsion - the last chapter in a long-running attempt to establish the controversial fuel in the UK.
