Coalite dioxins resurface in milk

The Environment Agency has revealed that dioxin contamination in milk at a Rotherham farm can be traced to pollution of river sediments by Coalite Chemicals' works near Bolsover, 20 kilometres away. A decision by its predecessor to allow the contaminants to disperse downstream is having a long-term and apparently unforeseen impact on the catchment.
