Ecological tax reform "would benefit competitiveness"

A report on what is claimed to be "the most detailed and sophisticated economic modelling of eco-tax reform in the UK to date" says that 391,000 jobs could be created by 2010 by seven environmental taxes, with minimal effects on the economy.1 The study marks a determined attempt by two environmental organisations to counter claims by industry that eco-tax reform will damage competitiveness.
