Fines for illegal uses of waste on golf courses and farmland
Waste illegally tipped while preparing a Surrey golf course led to fines and costs of over £19,000 in a recent case brought by the Environment Agency. Meanwhile, a Preston-based waste firm has been fined £8,000 for pollution caused by applying abattoir waste to farmland.
