Minister backs peers over attack on sustainable forestry scheme

Landowning peers received Government support in the House of Lords in June after criticising a scheme run by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for certifying timber from sustainable forests. Scottish Environment Minister Lord Sewel described the FSC as not being the "way forward" - even though it enjoys the support of most major UK retailers.
