NRA to prosecute Coalite over dioxin discharges

The Bolsover dioxin affair continued to unfold in June when the National Rivers Authority (NRA) announced that it will prosecute Coalite Chemicals for discharging dioxin-contaminated effluent outside the terms of its consent. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) revealed that elevated dioxin levels have been found in the blood of a farming family close to the firm's works.
