Fire at Shetland incinerator

A fire has set back the commissioning of Scotland's first municipal waste-to-energy plant by at least six months. The £10 million Shetland plant, due to start up in December, would have burned around 26,000 tonnes of waste a year - including refuse from Shetland and Orkney and at least 3,500 tonnes per year from oil rigs.
