DDT offence

The London Borough of Greenwich has been fined £1,500 and ordered to pay £1,000 in costs for storing the banned organochlorine pesticide DDT. The borough pleaded guilty to contravening regulation 4(4) of the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 after 20 anti-mosquito capsules were found at a depot in Plumstead.
