Bill to extend local control over airport pollution

A Private Member's Bill to extend planning controls over airports received its first reading in the House of Commons on 15 July. Its sponsor claimed that airports are "probably the last major polluters, largely free of pollution control and not subject to rights of redress of individual citizens."
