Scottish water pollution incidents increase
Serious water pollution incidents in Scotland are on the increase for the second year in succession - according to data from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) leaked to ENDS. In 1999/2000 SEPA reported 2,306 "routine" incidents and 282 "significant" ones. The latter, the highest yet reported by the Agency, is an 8% increase on the previous year.
