Action on land spreading long overdue, say MSPs

Official inertia over extending controls on the spreading of industrial wastes on land has been highlighted by a report by the Scottish Parliament's Transport and Environment Committee.1 Four years have passed since the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) made proposals for tighter regulations, and the report urges the Scottish Executive to get a move on with its response.
