Mayor sticks to call for single waste authority for London

The final draft of London's municipal waste strategy was issued by Mayor Ken Livingstone in September.1 It retains the call for a single waste disposal authority for the capital, and sets out targets to recycle or compost at least 50% of household waste by 2010 and 60% by 2015 - but warns that these could _only be achieved through an incentive scheme for householders.
