Tyre industry awaits signs of growth in recovery capacity

Uncertainty continues to linger over whether sufficient recovery capacity will be available to enable the UK to meet the 2006 ban on landfilling of tyres. The tyre industry remains optimistic, but the collapse of plans for a new gasification plant and the slow pace of authorisations for cement kilns leaves things too close to call.
