EC curbs on PCP implemented

Regulations to curb the supply and use of the pesticide pentachlorophenol (PCP) came into force across Britain on 31 January.1 Their main impact will be to terminate the amateur use of PCP as a timber treatment, and to restrict the use of PCP-treated timber to applications where the chemical is unlikely to put humans or animals at risk.
