Prosecution likely over devastating fish kill

The Environment Agency is investigating the deaths of over 100,000 fish in the river Slea, Lincolnshire, in February. The cause has been identified as a substantial release of the synthetic pyrethroid pesiticide cypermethrin, which is toxic to fish but even more toxic to invertebrates.
